Dr. Kartina McDaniel has served in public education for over 25 years, most recently as Executive Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Learning for Oklahoma City Public Schools.

McDaniel is National Board certified with a doctoral degree from the University of Oklahoma in educational leadership and curriculum supervision, a master's and bachelor's degree in elementary education, and nearly thirty years of high poverty, public school teaching and learning experience. She holds Superintendent, Elementary Principal, Elementary, and Language Arts certifications.

The primary responsibility of her current role is to ensure that every student within the Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) system has access to a guaranteed and viable curriculum. This aligns with the district's commitment to equipping all students with the necessary skills and knowledge to graduate prepared to pursue their unique purposes.
